Course Description:
Organizations consist of people. They differ in their values, attitudes,
personalities, experiences, gender, age, and many other things. Managers and
researchers have asked important questions regarding the topic of
Organizational Behavior (OB). Is a good leader “born” or “brought up?” Why
some people work hard and others don’t? Is there “a good personality?” How
to handle “free riders” in teams. These are some of the topics that we are
going to cover in this course. The course objective will be for students to
acquire a general knowledge of OB concepts and an appreciation of the issues
involved in managing people and organizations.
