Course Description:
The module aims to provide students with the communicative competences necessary for success in everyday contexts as well as, at higher levels, academic and business contexts. Depending on the level, this can range from basic oral and written competence to presentation and discussion skills. The enabling knowledge of grammar and vocabulary will be trained and, at higher levels, will include complex forms. Intended learning outcomes: The aim of the module German as a Foreign Language is to provide students with effective communication skills in language in German, both for their university and private life in Germany as well as for their further academic career and possibly work or internship in a German-speaking environment. The learning outcome depends on the starting level and will range from levels A1 to C1 (CEFR and Companion Volume, Council of Europe 2001 and 2020).
