Course Overview:Psychology is the scientific study of processes underlying human behavior, such
as sensation and perception, learning and thinking, motivation, and emotion. It
covers a broad range of topics, and the purpose of this course is to provide a
general survey of those topics. It is difficult to cover the many topics of
psychology in a survey course, and will involve a lot of work and time. For some
of you this may be your only exposure to psychology, but for others it will lay the
groundwork for more advanced courses. Either way, my hope is that you will gain
much and have fun in the process.
