This course will focus on selected topics in Western art history and how visual art responds to society and historic events. Periods from Greek and Roman Antiquity, Medieval times and Renaissance, Baroque, Romanticism, Impressionism, Expressionism, 20th Century Modernism, Post Modernism and Contemporary will be covered. The class will include lectures, demonstrations, art activities and student presentations as well as drawing exercises. Class will be taught in English.
