Course Description:
This is the first of the two foundation courses in global studies. In this course, students will learn what globalization is, have an overview of the major issues in global studies, and a more nuanced understanding of the political, economic, sociocultural, and environmental implications of globalization. The course will not only teach students with the basic knowledge, but equip themselves as global citizens with analytical tools, concepts and theories for making sense of current issues in global affairs through a multi-disciplinary approach that integrates theoretical issues with regional case studies.
