Course Description:
On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: - Identify, analyse and apply in practical tasks the grammatical structures covered in the course, including complex and idiomatic forms, at a B1 level or above, acoording to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). - Extract information from a range of written and spoken sources, including journalistic sources and the broadcast media, at a B1 level or above. - Respond accurately in writing to stimulus material on topics of general and current interest using complex structures and idiom and both formal and informal registers, at a B1 level or above. - Communicate fluently and accurately in the spoken language, taking part in debates and simulations, as well as give short presentations on a range of topics of general interest using both formal and informal registers, at a B1 level or above. - Work independently to consolidate
