Course Description:
This course consists of studying, through the application of economic experiments, the product and resource markets; supply and demand; assumptions of rationality and utility, costs; market structure; use of resources; market and governance failures; role business; and critiques of the assumptions of economic theory. The aim of the course is that the student knows the fundamentals of the microeconomic theory related to consumer and producer behavior, as well as that related to externalities and public goods. In addition to presenting the main criticisms of the basic assumptions of this theory and introduce students to the explanation of these topics with the use of economic experiments.
